Movie Summary
Shahid is based on a true story of a human rights activist and lawyer Shahid Azmi, who was killed in 2010 by unidentified assailants in his office. From an aborted attempt at becoming a terrorist, to being wrongly imprisoned under a draconian anti-terrorism law, to becoming a lawyer himself and to championing human rights (particularly of the falsely/wrongly accused), Shahid traces the inspiring personal journey of a simple minded boy who became an unlikely hero for the innocent.
