Movie Summary
Rattan, a young boy wants to travel to Delhi (Dilli in Hindi), to save his father from an unjust punishment. What drives him to Delhi is the sure knowledge, that Jawaharlal Nehru, (the then Prime Minister of India), would save his father. Made in 1957, the film was symbolic of the hopes and aspirations of a newly independent country, the belief that injustice would be a thing of the past.
