Movie Summary
For the protection of the good, for the destruction of the wicked and for the establishment of righteousness. I am born in every ages, says Lord Krishna to Arjun in Bhagwad Geeta......For the protection of the good, for the destruction of the wicked and for the establishment of righteousness. I am born in every ages, says Lord Krishna to Arjun in Bhagwad Geeta. People may, or may not, know what is written in Geeta; put in every country and every religion that have always believed and hoped that an angel, a Messiah, will come to save them from the tyranny of evil forces. Farishtayis the story of that hope fulfilled. The heroes of this film are not incarnatious of god or super-natural powers. On the contrary, they are just a little angel, a little human, like all of us; and their greatest strength is love for their nation. And the biggest enemy of the nation is Raja Jaichand and his strongest weapon is fear. Police officer Arjun Singh tries to remove that fear from the minds of the villagers. He defies Jaichand by hositing the national flag and dies like a martyr. Gayatri sees her husband singing the song Jhende Ooncha Rahe Hamara, till his last moment and the shock of his brutal murder makes her mad. Afraid of Raja Jaichand, no one dares to show sympathy to Gayatri, except Rashbhari. Rashbhari is a very bold girl, who represents the conscience of the village, that cannot be destroyed. Not knowing what has happened to Gayatri, her brothers Veno and Dheero happen to reach the village and are shocked to find that their sister has become mad. They decide to wipe off Raja Chand and save the nation. It is not easy to destroy an enemy who has a strong army equipped with latest ammunitions and equipments supplied by foreign powers. But the most powerful weapon cannot match the dedication and courage of a patroit. Who can defeat farishtay?
