Movie Summary
Naya Kadam is a movie that deals with social issues and the importance of literacy in the Indian villages, which is important for the progress of the country. Madhukar (Kader Khan) the landlord and Jaggu (Om Shivpuri) the money lender ruled over the poor and the community of backward classes. They prefered to keep the inhabitants illiterate, so that they continue to oppress and abuse them. But, one young lad, Ramu (Rajesh Khanna), educates himself secretly with the help of the local school-master. Years later, Ramu has grown up and is now a formidable force to reckon with. Madhukar and Jaggu see him as a threat and soon spin a web of lies and deceit around him...How Ramu faces all the challenges/obstacles and eliminates his enemies forms the rest of the story.
